Display the popular Google Now-like data on your Nook Simple Touch using Python and some magic dust.
Inspired by the Kindle Weather Display, Nook Now fetches weather data from Yahoo!'s weather feed, and in addition it includes limited stock and currency tracking.
A remote machine is required for this script to run and send the Nook updates at set intervals. The Nook syncs the data into its screensaver folder and having the data set as a screensaver , you save battery life!
NOTE: To make this work you must have a rooted Nook Simple Touch.

Hookahs (shisha) have been around for centuries but their designs have barely evolved. Besides being engineered into mass-production commodities their basic form remains the same.
Undoubtedly they possess the slickest designs and details — mainly due to the history and culture they carry from their time. Developed at a place dominated by Islamic art, artisans toiled away days to hand craft these intricate pieces of metal and glass.
So what if the hookah was to be invented today?
This 3d scanner is an academic research project conducted at USC aimed to build a cheap alternative to 3D data acquisition. Using stereo cameras and a line laser it plots every keyframe to a calibrated graph. The graph when put together forms rich 3D data accurate upto +/- 1.5 mm.
